TAKE THE LEAD CHALLENGE LAUNCH EVENT
The National Panhellenic Conference is excited to share with you a powerful event coming soon that is expected to draw up to 1 million attendees from around the world. The Take The Lead Challenge Launch Event is designed to inspire and propel women to step into their own power to close the pay and leadership gaps. NPC has signed on as a partner for this event, and we are excited to share it with you.
You have the opportunity to view this event free online via Livestream Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. EST.
The challenge theme calls women, men and organizations to action and gives women the tools they need to succeed in work, civic leadership and personal life. Women earn 77 cents to men's dollar and make up half the workforce but only 18 percent of top leadership positions. The reasons have been researched ad infinitum. Take The Lead shifts the focus from problems to solutions.
The event will feature such thought leaders as Gloria Feldt, Facebook COO and "Lean In" author Sheryl Sandberg. A powerhouse women's media panel cohosted with the Women's Media Center will be moderated by MSNBC's Karen Finney.
You can find out more information about Take The Lead and register for the free Livestream event here. We encourage you to take part in this exciting event with your group. NPC will be live tweeting using #sororityview and #takeleadlaunch, so join the conversation!
